Benchmark’s leadership team, Stephanie Handelson and George Morris, top priority were providing their residents with a well-lit, safe and comfortable environment while maintaining the distinct ambiance of the community. Edgehill Senior Living based in Stamford, Connecticut is one of the 50 Benchmark communities throughout New England that Greenleaf has completed. Each of these locations has experienced not only improved quality of light but significant savings within the very first month following installation.
“We have seen a 20 percent reduction in usage, (as promised) along with other intangible benefits, including better quality lighting, maintenance savings and resident satisfaction,” he said. “We have been very pleased with Greenleaf - all around. It is a ‘white glove’ service. We will be including additional money in our 2015 cap-ex budgets to retrofit our remaining communities.”
- George Morris, Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting
It is important we ensure a seamless process with minimal disruption to enhance the resident experience while improving the bottom line. We worked closely with the local utility to secure maximum incentives when upgrading over 7,000 fixtures to LED’s, revamped the community’s pumps, motors, drives and controls, and installed the most energy-efficient and state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. This work resulted in a reduction in usage and saved countless hours repairing, replacing and maintaining the mechanical systems.
LED lighting is not the only way to save! At Greenleaf Energy Solutions, we make sure your facility is performing to the highest efficiency standards by looking at the mechanical equipment. Our mechanical solutions are designed to deliver cost-effective equipment replacement and optimization of controls to your facility.
