Mount Snow, located in West Dover, Vermont is one of the very first ski resorts on the East Coast continuing to define the ski industry.

In the 62 years since Mount Snow first opened, the resort has always pushed the envelope of progression within the ski industry; making history along the way. Dave Moulton, Director of Mountain Operations at Mount Snow, realized the need to improve lighting quality and decrease energy consumption on the mountain. He noticed critical maintenance staff being disrupted by the constant need to replace outdated lighting fixtures.

Initatives

With large and complex operations like Mount Snow, we work closely with the staff to uphold expectations with minimal disruption to the staff. Greenleaf worked under a strict timeline to make sure all 2,500 lighting upgrades were complete before the mountain opened.

“Greenleaf came in and obtained all necessary permits, managed fixture procurement and all aspects of the installation. GES worked directly with Efficiency Vermont to procure all available rebate incentives and was able to provide 0% financing on the balance of the project. This made it easy to get the initiative approved. Our project will save over $250,000 in energy costs during the first ten years, not including additional maintenance savings.” - Dave Moultan, Director of Mountain Operations
